Battle Ground Lake State Park: This 280-acre state park is located 2 miles northeast of Battle Ground on 28-acre lake. Public ownership surrounds the lake. Facilities include hiking trails, boat launch, picnic shelters, play meadow, play equipment, drive-in and walk-in camp sites, parking, restrooms, and caretaker. Four miles of pedestrian trails and five miles of equestrian trails available. Facilities may be reserved.
Just added: Battle Ground Lake is the second Washington state park, after Fort Canby on the Southwest Washington coast, to offer rentable cabins. Each cabin measures 13 feet by 13 feet, is furnished with bunk beds that sleep three, a full-size bed, overhead light, heater and locking doors. It includes a covered porch, picnic table, fire grill and utility hookup, with bathrooms and showers nearby. For more information, call 360-902-8844.
